Wyatt Stephens, Director of Sports at Academy 54

Wyatt Stephens

Director of Sports
Wyatt’s passion for soccer ignited early. A Marion County native, he started playing at 4 years old. By age 10, he was traveling to Orlando to play for Orlando FC - a nationally ranked club coached by former English Premier League player Dave Bardsley.

Back at home, he started his high school career at Vanguard where he made the varsity team as a freshman. After taking a year off to focus on his club team, he transferred to Trinity Catholic for his junior and senior seasons, earning the title of Marion County High School Soccer Player of the Year.

In college, Wyatt played Division I soccer for the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes his freshman and sophomore years, winning the Conference USA Championship and making a trip to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. He later transferred to the University of Cincinnati where he finished up his collegiate career with the Bearcats.

After college, Wyatt played semi-pro before returning to Marion County, where he has stayed active in the local soccer community. Now as Director of Sports, his goal is to grow Sports at WEC into one of the premier sports development programs in the nation.
